About us
The founder of EVTT, Sylwia Seweryn, comes from Warsaw. Since 2008 she has lived in Eindhoven in the province of North Brabant. Already in the Netherlands she has finished the course for translators in criminal cases, provided by Stichting Instituut van gerechtstolken & - vertalers and she is registered in the Dutch Register for Sworn Interpreters and Translators (Rbtv).
Priorly she studied in Poland, where she graduated from the Department of English Studies of the University of Warsaw and finished postgraduate studies in social communication and media of the Polish Academy of Sciences, as well as in Italy where she was granted a master title in the field of politics and management of the European integration of the University of Bologna.
Since more than 15 years she has been involved in translation activity. She possesses several years of professional experience, gained both in private and public sectors, as well as in international and non-governmental organisations. She co-operated with a.o : Hortex Holding SA - Department of Strategic Marketing, European Commission (Phare project), United Nations Information Center in Warsaw, Ministry of Health, Open Society Institute, periodical “Army and Education” and translation agencies.
Sylwia Seweryn participated in the creation of the language centre “Nederlands Leren in Tilburg”, where, since few years, she has been teaching Dutch.
